House of Jade is a full-service interior design studio known for interiors that are layered, livable, and crafted with care. The loyal following is there. The portfolio is strong. The reputation as a leader in luxury residential design is well established. What was needed was an evolution — one that honours everything the brand has built while elevating it to match their current stature and future ambitions.
As House of Jade's brand partner, our role was to refine and mature the visual identity and digital presence, moving the brand from modest and practical to gracefully poised and confident.
Crafted to strike an elegant balance between classic and contemporary, the primary wordmark gives the brand real character and sophistication. A modern serif with subtle humanist qualities leads, while a supporting sans-serif grounds it in the present. Together, the pairing reflects what House of Jade has always done well: blending timeless sensibility with a fresh, approachable point of view.
The original HJ monogram carried brand equity, a recognizable mark with nearly a decade of legacy behind it. Rather than starting from scratch, we preserved the familiar orientation and overall structure, focusing instead on refining the spacing, line weights, and proportions. It’s now familiar at a glance, more considered up close.
Drawing from the same warmth and layered naturalism that defines House of Jade’s interiors, the refreshed colour palette features gentle creams and taupes grounded by earthy browns and charcoal undertones. The signature HOJ green returns with added depth, lending an understated distinction that ties the whole colour story together.
The typography framework maintains the transitional serif and sans-serif pairing that has always been central to the brand's visual language, this time with more personality and polish. A serif with genuine character directs the hierarchy, evoking the feeling of a well-edited design publication. The supporting sans-serif brings modern clarity to body copy and supporting text, ensuring the brand reads as effortlessly as it looks.
The brand pattern introduces an organic floral motif, rendered as a textured, tone-on-tone silhouette. Available in three colourways drawn from the brand palette, it adds subtle texture and tactile interest without overwhelming. Designed for thoughtful application rather than large-scale use, it finds its place in the details: envelope liners, postcard borders, and branded materials, bringing an elevated, considered finish to every client touchpoint.
House of Jade had no shortage of beautiful work to show. What the previous website lacked was the structure and clarity to communicate it fully — visually and verbally. The new online home, supported by purposeful website copy from Woven Copy Studio, was built around a clear set of goals: improve the overall user experience, firmly position House of Jade as a full-service design firm first and foremost, and create clear pathways for both high-end clients seeking the complete process and more budget-conscious homeowners exploring virtual design.
The result is a digital presence with generous breathing room, elegant hierarchy, and an editorial sensibility that frames the photography without competing with it. Every section is designed to build trust, communicate value, and guide the right client toward taking that next step.
A brand refresh is one of the most nuanced creative challenges there is. The goal is never to erase what came before — it's to honour it while making space for what comes next. House of Jade's refreshed identity does exactly that. Every element has been considered, refined, and elevated with care, resulting in a brand that feels both familiar and entirely new. Timeless, as it always was. Just more itself than ever.
