Home Story Designs is a design studio and online homewares shop offering both interior design services and a curated selection of warm, inviting classics, personally chosen by co-owners and principal designers Robin and Donna.
While building admirable careers in corporate and hospitality design, the duo discovered their true passion in crafting personal spaces for their executive clients. This revelation, paired with their desire to design homes with stories to tell, inspired the launch of Home Story Designs. As their branding partner, our mission was to create a digital presence that reflects the refined beauty of their residential projects and homewares collection – one that naturally draws in both design clients and shoppers.
To embody the storied nature and vision of the brand, the primary logo features an elegant serif typeface – reminiscent of classic literature – with a semicolon symbolizing each client’s home story as an ongoing journey. This considered balance of refinement and warmth speaks to the brand’s enduring values.
Building on this narrative, we created a submark suite to maintain Home Story Designs’ look across all areas, from retail collateral to digital platforms (and future in-person spaces). The collection includes a custom-bordered "H" monogram accented with a fern leaf, helping to create a sense of movement while marking the blossoming potential we see in home design & décor.
The brand’s visual language comes full circle in a colour palette inspired by cherished family heirlooms, featuring rich, sophisticated, organic shades that invite calm and connection.

Every brand has a unique story to tell through many layers – the name and identity, style, core values, project photography, and client/customer experience. The opportunities are endless, with a website being the perfect space to bring these pieces forward.
Through upfront brand strategy sessions and conversations, we were able to step right into Robin and Donna’s world. The result? A more storied visual identity and website experience, complemented by messaging support from a website copywriter versed in SEO – bringing the narrative full circle.
From the punctuation mark in the logotype to the words that subtly play off the HSD name (e.g., page turner, personal libraries, and bookmark, to name a few), each detail invites potential clients and customers to sink into their brand’s world – much like settling into your home’s reading nook with a good book. It’s familiar and timeless in all the right ways.
